3 deaths in 95 car wreck in Fancy Gap

A series of 17 crashes began at 1:15 Sunday afternoon.  The fog was EXTRA heavy causing very poor visibility.  The Red Cross set up a shelter for people that were stranded.  Some vehicles caught fire, but they were easily put out.  About 10 people were taken to Northern Hospital in Surry county, but mostly for minor injuries.
