Hostages Killed in Algeria Raid
The Algerian Government launched a brazen air assault on the gas plant that had recently been captured by Islamist militants (Al Qaeda). Some hostages were killed along with the militants. As of Monday, it was known that 81 total were dead, but the number of hostages to terrorists is still unknown. But, Algerian spokesman Mohamed Said said that he believed that the death toll would rise as the military continues to search the plant for victims and explosives. On Saturday it was said that 32 terrorists had been killed along with 23 hostages. Then, bomb squads found 25 more bodies along with a Romanian that escaped who died, which brought the toll to 81. As of now, 1 American is confirmed dead, along with 3 Britons.
